Deutsche See’s seafood in new paper bags for the frozen segment

A wide choice inside - sustainable outside

Deutsche See innovates with its quality seafood in a new sustainable paper bag for the frozen food shelf. The new bag consists of 95% kraft paper and 5% film coating, which reduces the use of plastic to a minimum so that it can be disposed of as waste paper. There are eight different bags that contain varieties of ASC- and MSC-certified shrimp and other seafood (including frozen fish fillets). The new products have been available with Deutsche See from August 2022.

Every day, the fish experts of Deutsche See passionately pursue the goal of offering customers the best possible quality and sustainable seafood products at the same time. Eight new varieties are included in the new assortment in paper bags: from shrimp, cooked or raw, with and without shell, breaded or with aromatic marinade, to Frutti di Mare.

The sustainable paper bags are a further step by the Bremerhaven-based company to establish itself in food retailing through clever self-service concepts. Deutsche See offers the right range for all self-service fish sales areas: from self-service frozen fish, self-service fresh fish as well as self-service smoked fish to self-service sushi, self-service tapas and, since a few months, canned tuna, there is something for every taste.
