All from a single source
Tuna has been very popular with Germans for years, and the trend is rising.* Deutsche See is jumping on this trend and is now also consistently scoring with quality and sustainability when it comes to canned tuna. The Bremerhaven fish manufacturer is aiming for the corresponding self-service shelves with MSC-certified tuna from its own fishery and production. Deutsche See is thus expanding its product range to include tuna in infusion and tuna in olive oil, each in two sizes. The new products are available for the self-service shelves of retailers from February 2022.
Deutsche See does everything itself with this tuna: catching and processing - all from a single source. The tuna is fished with its own ships from MSC-certified stocks in the Indian Ocean and then reaches the company's own production facilities by the fastest route for processing and then quickly and safely to the market with Deutsche See trucks. Bremerhaven's motto is #missionfish - catch and processing from our hands. Because fish is a matter of trust. Every day, the fish experts passionately pursue the goal of offering customers the best possible quality and at the same time sustainable products.
The new tuna products are another step taken by the Bremerhaven-based company to establish itself in food retail sector with clever self-service concepts. The company offers the right assortment for all self-service fish sales areas: from self-service frozen fish, self-service fresh fish as well as self-service smoked fish to self-service sushi, self-service tapas and brand new self-service tuna, there is something for every taste. Depending on the size of the sales area, retailers choose from Germany's largest assortment of self-service fish and Deutsche See delivers reliably. Whether classics, seasonal products or promotional items - the variety on offer opens up many opportunities to increase sales and profitability.
